{"id":1488,"date":"2018-07-17T11:53:25","date_gmt":"2018-07-17T16:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/my.vanderbilt.edu\/irishlab\/?p=1488"},"modified":"2018-07-17T11:53:25","modified_gmt":"2018-07-17T16:53:25","slug":"dr-irish-appointed-at-kings-college-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.irishlab.org\/index.php\/2018\/07\/17\/dr-irish-appointed-at-kings-college-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Irish appointed at King&#8217;s College London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Jonathan Irish\u00a0is joining\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcl.ac.uk\/index.aspx\">King&#8217;s College London<\/a> as Visiting Associate Professor and Honorary Senior Lecturer.<\/p>\n<p>This role grew out of\u00a0the Irish lab&#8217;s\u00a0longstanding collaboration with Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/kclpure.kcl.ac.uk\/portal\/shahram.kordasti.html\">Shahram Kordasti<\/a>, MSc, MD, PhD. focused on human immunology, immune based therapies, and blood\u00a0diseases (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/27281795\">Kordasti et al., <em>Blood<\/em> 2016<\/a>, Deep phenotyping of Tregs identifies an immune signature for idiopathic aplastic anemia and predicts response to treatment). Dr. Irish and Dr. Kordasti\u00a0plan to further expand their collaborative research and teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Irish also teaches mass cytometry (CyTOF) methods and data analysis as part of a course organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guysandstthomasbrc.nihr.ac.uk\/staff\/susanne-heck\/\">Dr. Susanne Heck<\/a>\u00a0through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre partnership between Guy\u2019s and St. Thomas\u2019 NHS Foundation Trust and King\u2019s College London.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Jonathan Irish\u00a0is joining\u00a0King&#8217;s College London as Visiting Associate Professor and Honorary Senior Lecturer.
